1. Agreement to Terms
By creating an account and using Build Again ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users, including parents and guardians who create household accounts on behalf of their families.
2. Description of Service
Build Again is an independent building-instruction service for LEGO® bricks you already own, designed for families to use with children. It provides step-by-step instructions based on the LEGO® sets owned by the household. Build Again is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the LEGO Group.
3. Accounts and Subscription
- One household account may be created per family unit.
- Every new household gets a 3-day free trial, which starts when the account's email address is confirmed. No payment is required during the trial.
- After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription — monthly or annual. On our website, prices are shown in your local currency where we offer it (otherwise in US dollars), tax included, and the price shown is the price charged; our reference price is US$7.99 per month for the first three months and US$12.99 per month thereafter, or US$49.99 for the first year and US$99 per year thereafter. The first-period prices are for families who have never subscribed before. Local prices follow exchange rates and may be updated for new subscribers; a subscription keeps the price it started at. In the app, the App Store or Google Play shows its own price before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, manage or cancel your subscription there; refunds for those purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
3a. Refunds and Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies those consumer guarantees. If the Service is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to the remedies the law provides, which may include a refund.
For change of mind: you may cancel your subscription at any time via Account → Manage billing. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period; we do not provide pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of a billing period, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires otherwise. To request a refund or discuss a billing issue, contact us via the Contact page or [email protected].
If you live in the UK or the EU and subscribe on our website, you can cancel within 14 days of first paying and we will refund you in full. Contact [email protected].
3b. Gifts
A Build Again gift code gives one household 12 months of Build Again from the day it is redeemed. It must be redeemed within three years of purchase, and the expiry date is shown in the gift email. A gift code cannot be exchanged for cash. Gift purchases are covered by the refund terms in section 3a.
4. Children's Privacy and Parental Consent
Build Again is designed for use by children under parental supervision. The account holder must be an adult (18+) who is the parent or legal guardian of any child using the Service.
By creating child profiles, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian and consent to their use of the Service. We collect only what a child needs to use the app, as described in our Privacy Policy, and share it only with the service providers listed there.
For children in the United States under 13, we follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA). For children in the UK and EU, we follow the UK and EU GDPR and, in the UK, the ICO's Age Appropriate Design Code.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: share your account credentials outside your household, reverse-engineer or scrape the Service, use it for any commercial purpose, or attempt to circumvent subscription requirements.
6. Intellectual Property
The Build Again platform, including its code, design, and original content, is owned by Build Again. LEGO set data is sourced from Rebrickable (rebrickable.com) under their terms. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group. Part geometry is rendered from the LDraw Parts Library (ldraw.org), used under its open licence.
6a. Using Build Again fairly
Build Again, its building instructions, 3D views, stories, images, text, design and code are owned by Build Again Pty Ltd or its designers and are protected by copyright and other laws. Your subscription gives your household a personal, non-transferable licence to use them at home. It does not give you any other right.
You agree not to:
- copy, record, extract or redistribute any building instructions, step sequences, 3D views, images or audio from the app or website, whether by hand, screenshot, screen recording, script or any automated tool;
- access the Service through anything other than the official Build Again app and website, or attempt to read, reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise work out how the app, website or Service is built;
- reproduce the app's or website's design, layout or features, or use them to build a competing product;
- use the Service for any commercial purpose, or share your account beyond your household.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we reserve all other rights.

7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is", and Build Again is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time, which will permanently delete all household data including child profiles and build history.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. If you live in the UK, the EU or another country with its own consumer laws, you keep the protection of those laws.
